Feedbacks As It Applies to GMC
For GMC, this page allows you to see the initial, midterm, and final feedbacks done on you during the course of the current semester.
Viewing a Feedback on You
- Look at the section of the page labeled "Feedbacks Done on You."
- Click the "view" button next to the particular feedback you would like to view.
Feedbacks As It Applies to POC and Cadre
For POC, this page allows you to see the initial, midterm, and final feedbacks done on you during the course of this semester, to view the feedbacks you have written on other cadets this semester, and to log feedbacks and counselings for cadets.
Viewing a Feedback on You
- Look at the section of the page labeled "Feedbacks Done on You."
- Click the "view" button next to the particular feedback you would like to view.
Viewing a Feedback You Have Done on Another Cadet
- Look at the section of the page labeled "Feedbacks You've Done."
- Click the "view" button next to the particular feedback you would like to view.
Logging a Counseling or Feedback
- Look at the section of the page labeled "Log Counseling/Feedback."
- Select an AS year from the drop down menu provided and click the "Submit" button.
- Scroll to down to the name of the cadet for whom you would like to log a counseling or give a feed back.
- Select the type of feedback/counseling you would like to give next to the cadet's name. For a feedback for a POC subordinate, click the "POC" button. For a feedback for a GMC subordinate, click the "GMC" button. For disciplinary counselings, click the "Disciplinary" button. (Note: the disciplinary counseling option is not to be used for attendance counselings or feedbacks. There are other areas of the website on which to do those functions.)
Logging a Disciplinary Counseling
- After you have clicked the "Disciplinary" button next to a particular cadet's name, a new page containing a counseling form will come up. Some of the information, such as the cadet's name, flight, AS year, the date of the counseling, and your name in the signature block, will already be filled out for you.
- In the drop down menu provided, select the reason for which you are logging the counseling. Your options are disciplinary counseling, missed suspense, inappropriate conduct, advisory counseling, and a counseling for excellence.
- Enter your comments in the comments text box provided. Be sure to state clearly what happened and who was involved in or witnessed the event. Be sure to check for spelling, grammar, and punctuation as the cadre and select cadets based on their job position in the wing will be able to view the counselings you have logged. (Note: Cadets cannot see disciplinary counselings you have logged on them unless they are one of the select few cadets with a wing position that has the database access to do that. It is your responsibility as the counselor to make the cadet you are counseling aware that he or she is being counseled as well as to inform them why they are being counseled and the information stated in the counseling.)
- Hit the "Submit" button at the bottom to log the counseling. (Note: Once you hit the "Submit" button there is no going back; there is no way for you to edit the counseling or to delete it. That said, make sure you have your facts straight before logging a counseling, keeping in mind that cadre and cadets other than you can view what you have written. Only the COC has the ability to edit or delete a counseling).
Cadre note: When a cadre member does a disciplinary counseling they need to download and fill out the form 16 from the website (will be provided on the page). After they fill in the form they upload it from the browse box and click submit. The form is then stored on the server and only viewable to cadre.
Logging a Feedback for a Subordinate
- After you have clicked the "POC" or "GMC" button next to the particular cadet's name, a new page containing a feedback form will come up. Some of the information, such as the cadet's name, AS year, the date, and your name in the signature block will already be filled out. If you are filling out a feedback for a GMC subordinate, the phonetic letter of the cadet's flight will also be pre-entered for you in the "Job" line. If you are filling out a feedback for a POC subordinate, you will need to write the acronym associated with that particular cadet's job within the wing.
- In the drop down menu provided, select the type of feedback you'd like to give. Your options are initial, midterm, and final.
- Write comments in the text boxes provided in each section of the feedback form.
- Check the letter associated with the level of performance the cadet has demonstrated up to that point for each of the categories listed. "U" is for unstatisfactory, "M" is for marginal, "S" is for satisfactory, "E" is for excellent, and "O" is for outstanding. (Note: Initial feedbacks should be left as all "S" because they will become N/A's when logged. However, still fill in comments to the side regarding each individual category and your expectations/goals for that cadet.)
- Check the final box for your evaluation of their overall level of performance (Once again, if it is an initial feedback, leave the box marked as "S").
- Click the submit button.
- Go back to the main feedbacks page. If you need to view or edit the feedback you've just logged you can do so here by clicking the appropriate button as discussed previously.
- Once you are sure that you do not wish to make any more changes to your feedback (your boss has reviewed it and given it the okay, etc.), hit the "Submit Feedback as Logged" button. The feedback will now be stored on the server.
