Using the Attendance Sheet
This section goes over a brief overview of the sheet and how to use the attendance sheets.
Necessary Equipment
- Attendance Sheet
- Black or Blue Pen
- Red Pen
Overview
- At the top of the form you will see “Event___” simply fill it out with the event you are using that attendance sheet (the date of the event is optional but recommended).
- Cadets are listed alphabetically starting at the top of the first column; next to each cadet’s name is their barcode.
- Following the barcode is a box for cadets present to initial, this is so there is a hard copy incase the scanner’s data gets lost/corrupted.
Use of the Form
- Upon arrival at the event cadets are requirred to initial next to their names on the appropriate attendance sheet.
- In case a cadet looses or forgets their scan card you may simply scan the barcode that is next to their name.
- Once the event has started it is recommended that you take a red pen and simply dash through the initial box of all cadets not present.
- Forms need to be kept until the end of the current semester so if there any disputes/errors cadets can be appropriately credited.
- Below is an example of a properly used attendance sheet.
