Lead Labs & Flight Meetings

The purpose of the LLAB program is to augment the AFROTC academic curriculum by providing prospective Air Force officers the opportunities and feedback needed to develop leadership, managerial, and supervisory skills required of successful Air Force officers.

Here are some things you can expect from LLAB:

1. Provide first-year cadets an informative and motivational program designed to recruit, retain, and familiarize cadets with the Air Force way of life and foster leadership, followership, teamwork, and esprit de corps.

2. Provide cadets scheduled to attend field training with the mental and physical skills needed to succeed in the AFROTC field training environment.

3. Provide cadets returning from field training sufficient opportunities to demonstrate and develop the leadership and management skills needed to successfully function as an active duty officer.

4. Provide cadets to be commissioned additional opportunities to demonstrate and develop the leadership and management skills needed to successfully function as an active duty officer and to adequately prepare them to transition from the AFROTC environment to active duty.

The purpose of flight meetings is to teach GMC cadets how to wear their uniform, march, and proper customs and courtesies. This environment also allows closer interaction between the flight commanders and the cadets in that flight.

Physical Training

Physical fitness is an important part of the Air Force. Therefore, we as future officers of the Air Force must always be fit. Our physical fitness program is called Cardio Cats and meets three times a week. Cadets must attend two of these each week. Except for three-day weekends, this means cadets can choose which Cardio Cats sessions to attend based on their individual schedules.

Aerospace Studies Courses

The aerospace studies courses are another integral part of becoming an Air Force officer. You will learn the roots of the Air Force, about the current Air Force, and everything you need to know about National Security and Active Duty.

College Life & Homework

College is a great part of everyone's life. It is a time to experience life on your own, but this freedom brings many responsibilities and challenges. Do not forgot that grades are important to the Air Force! If you don't graduate, you will not commission! Make sure that you do not become overwhelmed, and if you need help, ask! Our detachment and cadets are always willing to help!
